Now that is fabulous, they are such amazing creatures. I guess the rat was nearly as big as the owl.

When I am out doing me deep sky stuff, I hear loads of these guys!

But only get fleeting glances of them as they are so bloody quick!

Thank you all for taking the time to comment, really appreciated. David was right, when the Owl flew off with the rat (after deciding my dog was taking too much of an interest!) it did look nearly as big as the Little Owl - almost seemed to defy the laws of physics to get airborne.
