Just had another look, the other one has less distractions in the background than this one does. If there's some way you could lose the bright area to the left of the Groom at the top of the stairs then I would still go with this one. If you could do something about the exposure on the first one then it may be the better bet, but I would have some concerns over printing either of these due to the noise and soft focus. I would guess you were struggling with poor light on both of these shots, so please don't take my comments as critical.

Thanks David, they were both shot in raw, handheld, low light and time trouble!
I have asked in another post about printing high iso photo's, told canvas is more forgiving.
I do appreciate constructive comments thanks.

This one. The exposure is better, but mainly it's the composition for me. In the first there is no space within the frame in the direction they are looking so it feels too cramped. The expressions and eye contact are very nice in this shot. I would crop the lower stair to just below the dress.
I'm sure something can be done to reduce the noise a little. If you need any suggestions or help with processing then there is plenty of expertise on this forum.

Definitely this one, the advise you have already been given will help a lot, and like you say if it's going on canvas the noise will hardly be noticeable, windows live photo gallery has noise reduction on it, a lovely shot all the same.

Whoops! Didn't realise everyone else preferred this one. Ignore what I said. Perhaps his pose is not as awkward as I thought, nor that beam as intrusive... As everyone knows, I am to wedding photography what Pol Pot was to the League of Light.
Best wishes,
Andrew

I think this one could be improved further with some careful processing (was it shot in RAW or JPEG?)
The focus looks a little off though, it is focussed in front of the subjects (look at the pattern on the carpet) and there's a fair amount of image noise due to the ISO 3200 used.
It needs careful treatment and I'm not sure if it would print too well due to the noise / focus issues, unless you could lessen this in post processing.
I hope this doesn't come across as harsh in any way as I think you have posted these images looking for some constructive comments?
