A very fine image in every respect, John.
Unusual choice of lens for a subject of this kind that has paid off handsomely and imparted what, to my eye, can only be described as an extraordinary 'velvety' quality to the image that complements the richness of colour and texture in the different parts of the flower.

Both this and the mono version have their qualities but they both show that lens off a treat. Maybe the 400mm worked against the images in a way, however, dictating very close crops of the subjects? (unless this was a deliberate choice?).
