My kind of title. Nice tree, nice clouds, nice lens, nice processing.

If it is, it's by no more than 1 degree! To be honest, it is a bit difficult to say as there is nothing in the photo which is straight, especially the tree. .....is it just me or is the picture ever so slightly tilted ?:
It's an odd illusion, as the tree, the hedge, and various apects of the clouds all slant off in different directions, and I did shoot from quite low down too.
As far as the processing is concerned, I used Lr3 to produce a colour image from a RAW. The colour shot can be seen here if anyone is interested link
The lovely blue of the sky was rendered by the "nice" lens and not by using any filters or increased saturation in pp.
Then I used Silver Efex Pro to convert to b&w with a little following NR in Lr3.

Which lens was used Neil? Your signature doesn't list a 28mm and I don't think this is the kit lens. Is it a Pentax-M 28mm F3.5?
Regarding the image, the processing is excellent (I like this much better than the colour version) and gives it a real 3D look.
Regards
David

I really must get that sig up to date, it's just way out, about a year I should think!Which lens was used Neil? Your signature doesn't list a 28mm and I don't think this is the kit lens. Is it a Pentax-M 28mm F3.5?

It's not the M, David, it's the K28/3.5. Very recently purchased on ebay.
The b&w is better than the colour. Not enogh going on in that one. Yet the colour (of the sky) gives the b&w it's punch....imho!

The colour version is nothing special, the BW is lovely. Well done Sir! (Makes a note to use my K28 more often...)

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

A silk purse out of a sow's ear?
There's often a b&w where there is insufficient interest in a colour shot, I find. Colour often blinds you to the texture and shape and potential feel. I'm sure someone has written about it much more eloquently than I can, but you get the message!

The colour version looks good. But this one is excellent. This is a great B/W capture.
