Tide and Time wait for no man

High spring tides on the River Dart at Totnes, after the recent supermoon , at The Steam Packet Inn during the early twilight.
The steam packet ships of the mid-1800s made regular stops at inns which also served as post offices.
The Steam Packet in Totnes was one such calling point, and its restaurant, called Amelia, was named after one of the three coastal steam packet ships which called at the inn.
It took passengers and mail from London to Portsmouth, Totnes, Devonport and finally connected with the transatlantic packets at Falmouth.

Fabulous reflections that make this image stand out.
It's maybe a little 'tight' on the left, but I don't know what was to the left of the building so this observation may be unwarranted.

Thank you very much for sharing your encouraging comments Nigel The twilight's ambience and the reflection were a fascinating concurrence to observe, I wandered about and subtraction of some nearby moored yatchs, that added nothing made this seem the focus of my attention.
Superb shot, Phil. I love the reflections which really stand out against the subdued natural lighting in the valley.
I surprised myself as I recognised the location just from the thumbnail and it was 3 or 4 years ago when I last went on a trip down the Dart. If memory serves me right, this place was being done up /converted then ?

Thank you very much for your generous feedback David well noticed on the tight left side, there was an unsightly modern crane just to the side (downstream) which just distracted attention, I was unable to move further upstream (to use parallax effect to make it disappear relative to the riverside edge of the inn) due to a fence

Great observation, it says much for that old Victorian British tenacity.. the "as long as I have my flag, I shall not surrender to anyone or anything... I say old boy!" kind of mindset
