TailCoat

by Wildwood512

Bushy red squirrels like this frolic on our property. I found this one on a cold wintry day enjoying the profit of his preparation while covering himself with his own tail for protection against the wind. Hence, I thought it funny he was donning his 'tailcoat'.

Love the way you have framed him within the curved branch. A heavy crop could really accentuate this

Thanks Giulio.

Thanks Andy. I agree with your cropping suggestion. As is, it's already heavily cropped and I didn't think the photo was in focus enough to handle cropping even further. Already has heavy sharpening applied.
Cheers...Donna 😊

I loath the word but I've got to use it - "cute"

Malc, thank you and yes it is a treat to live amongst nature and to have some wide open spaces. Maintaining it can be overwhelming at times, but not a day goes by that I'm not thankful for my home. 😃

David, I'm honored to have one of my photos move you such as to bestow upon it one of your most reserved adjectives!😆
Cheers...Donna 😊

Ah, yes - looking more closely I see that now. And I guess he would not have stayed around had you tried to get closer!

I don't mind saying cute because that's exactly what you've captured, you lucky girl to have them on your doorstep, i had a grey in my garden last Summer but only for a short while and haven't seen it since agree with Andy about the curves!
