Difficult light, hence a 3 shot bracketed exposure, blended in Photomatix 4.1 as a fusion HDR, then the fused imaged blended in photoshop with one of the original exposures added as a separate layer.

Well worth all your time and effort David, can't work out what's happening with the rock pool, the edges look like ice, which I doupt, or there's so fast evaporation going on

I really like this David and don't you think editing is part of the photographers hobby, you never know what you can produce ...
