very dramatic indeed - I suspect there was a fair amount of pp work here - very nice end result - how did you achieve it?
No matter how many lenses I have owned - I have always needed just one more

Not as much as it looks; I'll give you the rundown:-

I only have Paint Shop Pro X4, so all the settings are for that.

1) It was taken using my 8-16mm Sigma lens, so there was some perspective correction to be applied.

2) Apply some local tone mapping; strength 20, block size 8.

3) Apply some sharpening; strength 20, radius 7, clipping 5.

4) Convert to monochrome by using a red filter.

Job done!
