Male Pheasant

We have an abundance (or is that nuisance) of Pheasants here. A local farmer runs a shoot less than a mile away and despite my normal view that these are not the brightest of birds (they do throw themselves in front of cars with alarming regularity) they do have the sense to leave the woodland and populate the local gardens instead. Not unusual to have a dozen or more on the lawn first thing in the morning.
