Not sure whether or not I like this image - comment as always is very welcome.
Shot in late afternoon as light faded, what drew me to this was the path leading away and the black roots and trunk of the tree in the foreground.

Its got good composition and atmosphere but the image is a little dark. I like the bright area bottom right which suggests a river or lake but the photo would benefit from a darkening down or cloning out of the highlight top left.

Good composition and I like the exposed roots in the foreground they look like shadows of people standing close by almost like danger lurks there
The shot makes me curious to where this leads so for me it works

Yes - very good composition (skilful use of a low perspective) but obviously difficult light. Main part of the shot might benefit from raising exposure/brightening/fill light to bring out the detail and colours?.

I think the fading light adds to the atmosphere, another smashing shot David.

Thanks everyone for your comments on my picture. I did leave this one quite dark on purpose as this was how the light was at the time. I think a lot depends on the monitor you view it on - on mine I can still see all the details.
