I appreciate the texture and colours in the photo, and would possibly myself think of this as an "abstract" image. The light is good and the leaves and twigs on the ground make an interesting background. Maybe you could also move in closer and isolate smaller pieces of the motive? These are just my immediate ideas when viewing the image.

Cracking shot! I do agree about moving in closer to be able to examine the detail of the fracture.
