We had a few days in the Isle of Wight and our hotel in Sandown was about a 20min walk from a small nature reserve. The squirrels were obviously used to being fed and would visit the area of the hide at about 10-15 minute intervals. There are one or two other areas of the UK where Reds can be found, but they are a bit too far away from Somerset. Nearest would be Brownsea Island - linkin Poole Harbour.
