Out with the new and in with the old - Vivitar visions

by prsjnb

Pentax K5 with Vivitar (Cosina) MC 19mm f3.8, PKA mount (handheld; 1/160s @ F/5, ISO 200; centre-weighted aperture priority mode). The orchid branch was photographed outdoors in natural light against a black background. The original RAW file was processed first in Adobe Lightroom before exporting to PSE for regional adjustments to reduce noise levels, optimise levels and improve sharpness. The lens used was an early metal-bodied version (circa mid-late 1970s). I seem to have been lucky with my copy of this 'marmite' lens (see link), although it just could be that I am just less demanding/discriminating than other photographers

Old glass rulz! Nice result.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
