Galloping Guardsman
by pgweber
On 26th June 2010, Ex LMS 4-6-0 No 46115 'Scots Guardsman' ran from York to Kings Cross on a day trip.
It is shown at speed near Newark on the East Coast Main Line, which was rival territory in the days of steam. This type of engine ran up the West Coast.
The East Coast line is much flatter so with no hills to feature in the background and a cloud-less sky, I have tried a letter-box style crop to emphasize the train alone.
Shot with K10D/16-45 as a PEF, then cropped & converted
