The shop across the street
by OldTaffy
A small fruit, veg and wine shop in the village, one mild evening earlier this month. K-S2 and 35 mm DA Macro Ltd. No tripod: just steadied the camera on a gatepost and hoped for the best. Pushed ISO up to 1600 so there is quite a lot of noise evident on the full size image.

Very unusual and most effective.
Best wishes,

Making a photograph out of what most would walk past, and it works.

Thanks for your comments. I did more post-processing than usual to get this ready: the contrasts were extreme so shadows have been lightened and the interior worked on as selections. In addition, it was tedious to clone out a bright flare, in the 'Organics' sign, where a lamp on my side of the street was reflecting.
The young lady who recently opened this nice shop is from eastern Europe, and had worked very hard indeed to get it set up attractively. Her produce is excellent and she is deservedly doing quite well in the village.
I have now put up a later view of the same shop on my flickr page.
