Fishmonger, in Penistone Market.

by trixie

So cold today in Penistone market, and the wind howling through it. As if its not cold enough being a fishmonger but he was happy and smiling.

You have a good strong working portrait here Trixie but It is I am afraid hidden by being underexposed.

Very demanding light and contrast here, Trix but you've handled it very well. I reckon this would make a great mono portrait with, possibly, a square crop to lose a bit on the left and a bit more on the right.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Thank you to Andrew, I will go back to it and rework it, it had lots of light from the window behind him but I couldnt resist his face. I may convert it too to mono. thanks to every one Trixie

You took a quite good shot among heavy light conditions. And the character is great too.
And I think I agree with Andrew regarding the crop and the conversion.
