The Gallery.

The Centre international d'art et du paysage de l'île de Vassivière is located within the Lac de Vassivière in Limousin, France. The gallery building was designed by Aldo Rossi and Xavier Fabre and is one of the few that Rossi was involved in which was not situated in an urban environment. Not a particularly attractive building, in my opinion, the gallery’s internal space contrasts with its exterior and makes an ideal contemporary space for art exhibitions.
This shot was taken in 2003 and was one of the last that I took on film prior to converting to digital. The camera was a Z-1P loaded with Kodachrome 64. Not too sure about the lens but it was possibly the kit 28-80mm although a Cosina 19-35mm lens spent a lot of time on the camera.

Kodachrome might remind one of the reason why audiophiles prefer Reel to Reels' and platters' sound compared to most digital CD recordings. Kodachrome was a expensive coating alley process at Kodak, as demand wavered because of the digital camera explosion, they closed the alley and production in 2009-10. ( there also was a shortage of physical silver of "Kodak acceptable" Comex and LME silver bars available - a whole other story) Did you reshoot the original image? - thanks for the well defined Photo info also.

Tony, you devil! You've made me blush! No, it wasn't a re-shoot, it was just one of those scans that turned out better than a lot of others. My scanner never ceases to amaze me. It's an Epson V330 flatbed which came replete with a frame to hold film or slides. I saw it recommended twice within the same copy of Amateur Photographer magazine but I doubted its ability at a price of just €90/$100/£65. However, ten thousand negatives and slides later I would quite happily recommend it, or its successor, myself.
David, the gallery is actually in quite a remote area and thus is not exactly a tourist trap, unlike Rossi's Bonnenfanten Museum in the city of Maastricht (NL), which always reminds me of a Flash Gordon spaceship! The tourist situation in Limousin may well have changed in the ensuing twelve years of course.

I haven't used film since i was a youngster, but i do appreciate the look that film produces, my Epson RX 585 isn't the best at printing out, but that could be me.
