It's like a surreal scene! You're magician, Axel!

Honestly - it is a tiny bit surreal - the top of the left tover was hidden behind a scaffold. This really destroyed the whole picture and I cloned the top of the right tower to the left tower. The suture line is approximately on the level of the top cross between the two towers. The two tips were so identical that I think, this is a legal level of surrealism (and if not, you have to wait probably another 10 years before it is possible to shoot both tops without scaffold)

I was wondering about the scaffold, as it was there when I shot it not long ago; you cleared that up, Axel! You also proved my statement about you, you ARE a magician! Thank you!

hehe - thanks for this compliment - actually - 3 years ago, I decided to not have a television anymore - this gave me so much time to do such things with Photoshop

well taken, Axel, .. I always saw this edifice in dark light, .. it's not lit by night !, .. curiously this is almost common in Germany. It's huge, and I always wondered whether it is possible to get entire façade in the frame with a decent level of detail, .. here is the answer ! .. thanks for sharing it. may I know the focal length ?

That's magnificent, Axel. At least it's in the Gothic style not baroque like so may of your churches! Beautifully exposed.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Hi Senn - that's a bit strange - I just checked all 5 shots that I used for this HDR and they all show the value 0mm for focal length - I have used a real UWA but it is not that extreme that it offers 0mm. As it was my 8-16mm Sigma WA and as am very sure that I used minimal length, I assume that it was 8mm. In this case I also did some perspective correction (that's the reason, why the tip of the towers is not as detailed as the lower part)

You did an excellent work, Axel. The lights and colours are wonderful, the details are fine. This is a really impressive shot.

I think it's the scaffolding that has always deterred me from attempting an overall shot. If you hadn't told us about the PP we would never have known!
