I envy you your darkness. You have trouble seeing the stars on a clear night here

Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Night-time photography is fun - especially with the modern DSLR as one can keep trying until you get something you are happy with. It does mean lugging a tripod around and wrapping up warm though!
