WW2 Heroes to receive La Legion D’Honneur medals

Taken at a press call to publicise the Festival of Remembrance event in Durham Cathedral next month.During which the medals will be presented to several veterans. Sgt. Charles Eagles a veteran of D Day with the honorary French Consul for the North-East and Cumbria, Dr Andrew Robinson. After the war Charles set up a camera shop in Sunderland and it is still going strong today
