Honey suckle at Montalcino
by GIULIO57
Another field of French honey suckle close to Montalcino and close to cellars of Castello Banfi. Difficult light IMHO, but camera and lens did their job! Skylight filter only. Camera PENTAX MX on tripod and PENTAX lens 24mm. Mirror blocked up. Shutter release cable to avoid vibrations. Date: May 2012. Kodak Slidechrome Extracolour Ekta HC 100 ISO set at 125(overdated). F16; Shutter Speed 1/15s. Manual exposure. Scanner EPSON Perfection 3200. Not a masterpiece for sure but I did like this scene when it appeared in front of my eyes: a nice mix of colours and an eyecatching red in foreground. Sky, almost in backlight, filled the rest. Not a masterpiece for sure, Hope u like it.

I recognised this as one of your's instantly. I love the intense colours of the Honeysuckle contrasting with the straw bales.

The long sloping hillside adds a sense of place and those fantastical colors seem to be dueling with each other for prominence - viewed through a piece of clear red mylar image is a kowtow to your expertise. nicely done- hope you saluted your accomplishment with a nice Brunello -- thanks tg

Film.....wonderful film and such a beautiful, vibrant result. I love the MX too. But the LX is a class apart....agreed.

This is so beautiful how it fills up the whole frame with popping color and composition! The steady bails almost defy gravity juxtaposed with the hill and curvature in the background. It's a mind bender!
Cheers...Donna 😊
