Meandering
by PeterKR
The Kennet Valley is fairly flat so the river meanders its way towards Reading where it meets the Thames.
This stretch is also part of the Kennet & Avon Canal and since there are no longer horses towing barges, with the tow ropes to 'hack down' the vegetation alongside the towpath, 'Mother Nature' has now reclaimed the river banks making this quite a shady woodland stretch.

This time the RAW file needed a fair bit of work to bring out the detail in the shade.

Many thanks, Maria.
The K&A (as it is known locally) is a great place for a pleasant stroll (and even better if you are on a narrow boat !)
Thanks again
Peter
