Orbs against the diagonals, works well for me, well spotted.
I would probably crop out the shiny supporting tube though.

No, don't like that idea, the "orb's" would look detached, people would wonder why they are there, the tube attaches them to the scene.

I like the repitition, the bold colours and the almost abstract look.

Lovely image, I agree that the shiny supporting tube is neccessary, it's a great image just as is.

ölike it too - was recently also fascinated by such clear design shapes - they are great on photographs and yours also has great colors

I agree with Steve about the tube, I think the eye will not need it to understand.
