In a flap
by carmagw
Been trying to get a shot like this with wing movement but a sharp head for a while when I go out walking with my camera. Not perfect but my best attempt so far.

Nicely done George - and made me smile.
The reason? A few years ago - armed with my new K-r - I was in the lake district waiting for a ferry when a number of ducks started flapping like this and I fired off a number of half hearted 'grab shots'. To my amazement - I ended up with several images that were pin sharp in the right places with great motion on the wings - even a couple of low flying and landing ducks.
Flush with this success - I them went on a number of trips to RSPB sites trying to get some more - and to date - have never repeated the success
