Thanks folks.
St Petrock's is a small church on the outskirts of Parracombe. The parishioners wanted to knock it down in the 19th century and build a bigger, newer one in the village centre. John Ruskin and others found out about it and it was saved. It's plain and simple with ancient box pews and pulipit. Hard to photograph because there are no vistas and it's so cramped. I never do it justice, I feel. The light spilling in from a chancel window makes this shot work.
But the atmosphere is amazing. If you like that sort of thing!
GIULIO I have converted some shots to mono but you lose the warmth of the woodwork.

We are used to you picking out wonderful textures and colours for close ups, lead in lines etc for landscapes, moody skies with trains etc but now this use of lighting to really make something this simple stand out is just too much for us mere mortals to handle
Seriously though I think that the composition being 'clean' and uncluttered with the lighting this way is excellent
