road repairs US style

So far as I can make out the intense heat of summer and intense cold of winter cracks the road surface up and the most efficient means of fixing it is to pour bitumen into the cracks

+1, takes me back to when i was a child and we used to pop pitch with our feet on those rare hot days, inevitably getting it on our white socks, Mothers must have dreaded the hot weather
