Curbar Gritstone
by sandinista
Another shot from what turned out to be quite a productive trip up to Curbar Edge. This time in B&W and with a square crop, the sky to the left was hopelessly blown out.

A wonderful landscape, Jim. Beautifully composed and converted.
Best wishes,

I like the light on the rocks in front and the shadows on the fields behind, and the rather threatening-looking sky.

yes this is really touching - no idea were this rock is - I assume it is not peak district but for me it looks familiar

A really lovely shot, great detail and a very atmospheric conversion.
I find the combination of the irregular foreground rocks, and the flat ridge on the horizon, very attractive. Plus a great sky, not overworked.
