The Cupola - Reloaded

by AxelLuther

I promise - this is the last indoor from St. Blasien not so special but a nice comparison with

link

The first one I took with my 18-250 mm, this one with the 8-16 Actually, the difference would even be bigger, when I would have had a chance to shot the 8-16mm one also with a camera laying on the ground (like the 18-250mm one)and not mounted on my tripod - but I forgot my remote control and there was no way releasing the camera manually without getting on the picture (the disadvantage of ultrawide))

Lovely cupola, wasn't there any chance to use the 2-sec delay?

Hi Alex - unfortunately not - the image is an HDR based on 5 shots - if you have the camera laying loose on the ground, you need a remote control - when taking the picture manually, you risk to tilt the camera a bit, which leads to HDRs without proper sharpness - without remote control you need a tripod to get a sharp HDR images....

wow - first time I initiated such a deal (hope I don't get trouble from Pentax for making too much advert for a competitor product - at least, Pentax does not offer 8mm)

The HDR is so subtle I didn't even notice it - and that contributes a lot to the WOW factor of the photo
