Easedale Tarn

This sign, made from painted stone stood out to me like a beacon in the wall and I just had to take a shot of it. I love the texture of the sign, so much nicer than the modern ones on metal posts. The background view is a bonus!

Well spotted, David. The hills and sign combine well together.
Best wishes,

A most striking composition, the sign adding impact to an excellent black and white photograph - well taken.

I like this quality black and white capture, David. I also like the compo, but there's more to it, beside this you can make two more great photos out of this one. One with the sign and the bench, and an another with that great background over the wall.:
Hi Nezih, you make a very perceptive point about this picture, so much so that I wonder if you have psychic abilities? The area I have cropped to the right was almost a picture in its own right and has a completely different character to the image you can see here! I can also see what you mean about the upper and lower halves of the shot.I like this quality black and white capture, David. Thank you for your comments and for those from everyone else too.
