Clouds Outstanding in Their Field

Impressive billowy clouds make their display over a ripened corn and soybean field here in the Midwest, USA. Taken about a mile from my home.

Very pleasing. Simple but effective.
Is it my imagination or have we had a 'return' to the type of 'traditional' classic type clouds we used to enjoy years ago. I've noticed here in the UK many more days recently where the type of clouds in the above image seem to have made a strong comeback.

Karlo, I agree with you about the reappearance of 'historic' clouds. I too have been noticing and photographing the great return of 'clouds gone-by' here where I live, along with some rather unusually new formations. Anyway you look at it, the sky is awesome!

A lovely composition of layered colours - and interesting that everyone mentions the 'classic' fluffy clouds. I have thought this over the past couple of years. They are very, qualitatively, different these days.
