Redcoat in Washington
by Wildwood512
While taking in the sights in Washington DC, this woman in a red coat with striking blonde hair and knee high leather boots happened on the path of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. With the fall foliage and the Washington Monument in the background it was a picture in the making. Didn't get a really sharp shot, but I thought the imagery was worth the sharing.

The red coat definitely makes the photo, well spotted and taken.

As above, great leading lines, shame the monument is not more visable

Thnx everyone for stopping and commenting.
No reflection recorded of the lady in red! Alas, she will always remain the mystery woman.

Why is the Lady in Red never there when I need her? Did you get a reflection shot too?

The reflection off the monument (left) keeps the eye moving toward the red coat. Like our use of vivid color in most images, Daring - t Sorry for late comment - didn't see it - was the wall on the left for honoring the US Vietnam military who didn't come back alive.? -looks smaller - the full wall is gut wrenching. Interestingly my Kx was assembled in V. N. perhaps the IIs also. Drafted in 67, got there just in time for Tet. Now I realize it Sucked for BOTH sides, not then, after many years , now. - t
