Stockley Bridge, Borrowdale, the Lake District.
After a day of heavy rain, the skies begin to break and let the evening light filter through.

is the sky colouration in part due to the ND grad?

A wonderful moment in time capture. Breaks in the cloud like that are fleeting.

A marvellously dramatic shot, David. That break in the sky is terrific.
Best wishes,
Andrew

Hi Andy, no the sky was exactly this colour as I was standing there marvelling at the light. The only thing the ND Grad has done is to help me to balance the light between sky and ground.AndrewA wrote:

That must have looked pretty amazing - and good to hear that the ND grad was not a contributory factor (as they sometimes can be!)

Wonderful energy and drama in this scene that beckons one to the high places. The slither of light gives a glimmer of optimism to juxtapose a sky of omnipotent mood. Excellent work
