According to the local bird watchers at Carr Mill Dam, this Great crested Grebe is sat on just one egg which is due to hatch any time now

Wow! many thanks for all those great comments folks, they are very much appreciated.
I wanted to visit the nest every morning to try and capture the young ones first appearance but heavy rain today put a stop to that maybe tomorrow
