Cardinal Affect
by Wildwood512
Funny thing is, I bought the K5iis because it omitted the AA filter, and then I go and shoot pictures through my window with a screen, so it's like having that filter there...go figure! Cleaned pic up best I could.

Great that you were able to get it in a neutral setting so as not to distract from that red.

My thoughts exactly...great shot.Great that you were able to get it in a neutral setting so as not to distract from that red.
Meant to add...it makes the Robin look a bit anaemic!

Great portrait. I was quite amazed the first time I saw one of these for real - (Central Park, New York)
Karlo comments about our robins - you should see the size of the US ones!

Thanks all! The female, of course, is not as robust in color. She did make an appearance this same day with her dapper compeer. Will post her soon. Come spring, I'll shoot and post one of those strapping US robins, as per mentioned by David!
Cheers...Donna 😊

Great shot and a lovely bird, Donna but very insensitive of you to post a CARDINAL after what happened in Arizona last night. 20-26 in overtime? That's wounding.
Best wishes,
Andrew

That is an absolute cracker. Almost dreamy looking while keeping lovely detail in the plumage. It does indeed make our Robins seem rather humble.
Fantastic shot.
I'm not jealous I'm
