Abandoned workshop

by RobL

Chedham's Yard in Wellesbourne was a blacksmith's and wheelwright's workshop; the last family member abandoned it intact about fifty years ago and it has just recently been rediscovered and is now open to visitors. Fortunately just before the old chap died so he was involved in the archive work.

Nicely preserved for future generations.

I must visit there next time we go to Charlecote Park.
(The King's Head in Wellesbourne do a nice lunch !)

Best regards

Wonderful piece of history. Glad the old timer could be in on restoring his pastime. If these tools could only talk and tell of the things they've built and repaired. Great archive photo!
Cheers...Donna 😊
