That's a lovely pose, Paul but it looks to be a bit red-rich on my screen (compared to the kingfisher image on your profile header).

Brilliant colours, maybe the colour slider was set a touch too high. Even so brilliant capture, perfect for a calender.

Stunning image. Extraordinary iridescent colours - though I don't remember ever seeing one as brilliant as this chap. A couple of years ago we had one in our garden, fishing newts out of our pond and taking them to a buddleia next to the pond. It seemed unconcerned by our presence - I normally think of them a shy and elusive birds.
