Expensive bodies and lenses cannot compensate for a lack of 'artistic vision'; something that need not concern you and that I can only hope one day to emulate to some small degree.

Thanks folks. This was taken using an ancient 28mm Kenlock lens. I'm not sure how good it is, but with the small sensors in APSC cameras you only use the middle or best bit of the lens anway! My "new" K10 also has a wonderful way with light and colour, which helps.
Best wishes,
Andrew

Amazing result from an old lens, another kind of mastery to be added to your credit, Andrew. Such a good compo!

Nice composition Andrew, bringin to life a pretty ordinary subject. Is that a hint of blue sky I see there? Are you still living in the UK?

I think it must be a weird colour shift, Tim. Not sure I'd recognise a blue sky...Is that a hint of blue sky I see there? Are you still living in the UK?

I like the composition. I could imagine it in B/W.
