Drive Chain Back-End
by GlynM
I have been cleaning up and doing a part rebuild of my old, 1982, road bike which has not been used in years. So while it was still in a cleanish state I felt I had to take some pictures of it.
This is a 6 image focus stack all shot using a Pentax K-5 with a 35mm limited macro lens:
1/15th sec, F5.6 & ISO200.
The focus stack was processed in CombineZP and then resized in PSE10.

Well spotted. Suntour it is, VX GT. The 6 speed freewheel is also Suntour and I have a Suntour Cyclone front changer and levers out of shot.
When I built it, in 1982, I prioritised the purchase of the frame, a Mercian from Derby, and could not then afford Campag components. The idea was that I could gradually upgrade the components but priorities changed and it never happened. The Suntour components have given great service and I hope will continue to do so.
Thanks everyone for the comments.

Looks like a nice nimble frame and good to see the hub shining like that.
When I bought my carbon frame bike a couple of years ago, I took several shots of it as new.
I did not manage to achieve the isolation of the subject from background like you have done though.
