Thanks for the kind comments. A little more detail, the lantern walkway is some 80 feet up and accessed via steps up the main tower then through three doors. The last door opens up onto the walkway which is about 30ins wide and has a wall about 38ins high. On the night there was no lighting and I had to use a torch to walk around until my eyes adjusted to the conditions. It was the first time I had used my Sigma 8-16 mm up there and I tried a few positions before settling on this one. This was taken at 8mm and I used live view to take the shot so I could get further out.
The first wide angle shot I saw from here must have been over 10 years ago and it was taken by Trevor Smith. His was of two of the arches which looked like a heart, a brilliant image.
Out of interest there is another walkway 20 to 30 feet above this one, now that is high.
