This is a Red Lily Beetle. The species is not native to the UK, but has spread rapidly as the climate has become warmer. These little chaps make a hell of a mess of the lillies in our garden.

Good shot David, what you need is Wilkinsons own brand of bug killer spray it works really well about £1.89, but only spray late evening to avoid killing any Bees etc. Ill post a shot I took with the I-10 of the little red devils.

Super close up, i hope i don't find any, apparently they just drop to the ground if they think they are in danger so it's worth looking down there, they maybe hiding.
