Swoose
by PeterKR
The fiedmouse was not our only unusual encounter at West Green House Garden last week. My wife spotted these strange looking birds, with the body of a goose and the neck of a swan ?
When we got home I did a web search and sure enough the birth of two 'swoose' (sweese ?) was mentioned in a local paper last year.
We had often remarked that there was only ever one swan to be seen there but there was a small flock of Canada Geese.
It seems the lonely swan found some comfort from one of the ganders !

Thanks Mike.
Yes, it was new to us and we had to do some web searches to verify what we thought. That's when we found the local paper report.
Thanks again
