RAF Goxhill

PGW suggested that I post one of this series, as a follow-on to an earlier thread, not for any technical merits but more for its historical significance. Back in 1979 I took a number of photos at the former USAAF base at Goxhill in Lincolnshire. Numerous airfield buildings remained intact from its WW2 days and many still carried their function titles both inside and out, such as the one depicted.
The colors appear to have deteriorated over the years.

Wonderful picture and certainly not boring. A recorded historical link (is that repetition?). To know where we are going, we must know and understand from where we came.

Things in decay can be fascinating but I think the placard showing the room function adds interest, especially as this is a photographic forum after all.
I like the angle of view as it makes me think we are being led into the room for a snoop around.
I don't know if it's because you have told us by saying it was shot in 1979, but the light has a pleasing "filmic" quality.
Now, have you got any shots of a Lightning or similar Paul?

Thanks for the very positive comments. I have a few photos of murals uncovered at the former RAF (USAAF) Bungay in Suffolk but, unfortunately they were taken on a Sony compact.
My Lightning photos are all b&w and since I switched to Mac a couple of years back my slide/film scanner lost its compatibility. If anyone would like to scan a lot of aviation negatives and slides for me, at a price of course, please let me know.

I'm bored there is no life in this photo no soul and it looks a bit bluey in the colour should have taken the shot knelt down from the left hand side more on the level with the door put some passion into it

You clearly didn't read the intro completely "Jeff"! It was suggested that I post the photo for its historic value rather than any artistic attributes it may have had. You talk in the present tense, while the photo was taken in 1979 - before you were born! Which is easier to comprehend, my photo or your feedback with its lack of capital letters and punctuation?

You clearly don’t get it do you Paul and capital letters and punctuation have have nothing to do with this photo? You cannot take any fed back good or bad
