Pea Nuts
by hocusfocus
Handheld reversed M-lens Macro 50/mm, @ 1/200, ISO 1600, f/8.
Shot on light table with additional florescent lighting. I apologize for an execrable touchup in Elements (within LR6). Someday soon I am going to learn Elements.

Mhm, I will. Think I'd prefer if everything was in focus/sharp. The pea is an eye sore for me I still like it though!

My thinking was to get the central nut and pea in focus, and I think they are; the peripheral nuts I think are helped by being out of focus. As for the pea being an eye sore, I wanted it to stand out very strongly as the main subject, and so as to complete the gag: pea + nuts. (The nuts of course, are almonds.)

Nice shapes and textures, I do tend to agree with Mag07, I think it needed a smaller aperture / more depth of field?
