It's the two little girls on the right that make this shot, look at those expressions, the're great.
You've caught this beter than you realize. Great.

Have you tried cropping out the left half from behind the torch bearer?

Great shot but I agree with Lary crop along the left hand drain pipe.

..Thanks Paul, i have to agree with both you and Larry about cropping the pic. Although i would only crop out the two figures far left and the runner far right. I think having the three children at either side of the runner, gives a more balanced composition. Also, i like the woman holding the camera in the background - she tried ever so hard to keep up and get her shot, but i dont think she did!.Thanks for the comments! - mary.

i disagree. Disregarding artistry, this picture tells a true story and should remain as it is.
