NeonSunset
by Wildwood512
Sunset last night taken from my kitchen deck. The colors were that intense and gorgeous!!!! Ever so slight color tweek, exposure, contrast and sharpening done in Lightroom.
K5IIs + Sigma's newest 18 -200 Contemporary. Taken at 63mm at 5.6 and 1/15 sec. at 1600 ISO...hand held, braced on deck rail (sun was going down fast and I didn't want to miss this by setting up a tripod). Photos had some obvious blur, but took care of it to my liking in pp.
I I so badly wanted to do a full blown water color effect on this photo, but I refrained and kept it to nearly the way I experienced it!

Gorgeous colours, Donna. And the silhouetted trees really add to the effect. What a super view to look out on from a kitchen. Still no snow, I take it. (Could do with it being colder in Green Bay this weekend, the Cowboys don't like it up them!)
We've only had one slight frost so far to clobber the dahlias and daytime temperatures in the mid teens (centigrade).

Thanks everyone! Wish I could have shared the actual sunset with you all...on my deck with a glass of wine, all of us shooting our own versions. It's a nice thought, no?

What a great image, Donna ......

What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?"
I couldn't have put it better than William Blake !

Another great shot.
View from my house is just a really high wall of conifers robbing all the light and effects such as these...
