Pale smoke against a dark background always looks good - sort of floating velvet!

Lovely textures and well managed DOF. But I cropped the top of the picture and then the background would be homogeneous black.

You should feel proud of it - I like the focus on the smoke with the rest of the image out of focus.

But it isn't and it's got character. It also lends itself for cropping if required. Good light and focus.
