Great idea and very effective. When working this close, though, you'll need to clone-out a few skin blemishes!
Best wishes,

Andrew

I don't like too much retouch and plastic-like skin. This is my real skin with my freckles. I don't think they are blemishes

Thanks!

This is a very nice portrait. I agree with you, I'm not keen on plastic looking skin either. Well done.

Woops! Foot in it again...my speciality. And very nice skin it is, too, Dorothea. I too hate air-brushed plastic looking skin or skin which is smothered in foundation. (Just look at my natural, un-retouched shots of Holly recently posted in this Gallery.) I just thought that the effect you were trying to achieve would merit the odd (very lovely) freckle being judiciously removed.

I'll stop digging now!

Forgive me.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Very good and imaginative - I also do not count your freckles as blemishes! I think most women (and men) would do anything for skin like yours!

Love the composition and the desaturated colour,
