MTO 500 Experiment

by Peter Elgar

I held my Russian MTO 500 Mirror lens over the mount of my Pentax 6x7 Mk II and I got a good result here !! It was DIM to focus as lens is only f8. I think I used the 'Spot Metering' on the pentaprism. Camera was on a tripod of course. Subject is outside our back door in bright light. You can see the 'Doughnut Rings' of a Mirror Lens on the photo !

I do have same lens and your capture suggested me to try an attempt of using it on the K20D. What will happen?

Giulio57 : with the K20 D you can get a M42/Pentax K adapter IF the MTO lens flange does not foul the over-hang from the Pentax pentaprism as it does on my K10D.
