Taken a few years ago on Primrose Hill in London, England, during an afternoon in December. That's in fact the sun "shining" through quite a bit of mist.
The effect is obtained by purposefully underexposing the shot by at least one stop. No fiddling in Photoshop.

Probably the lens I use as my "standard" - a Sigma 18-125mm zoom 1:3.5-5.6.

Hello Brian- Love this one- appealing warm limited palette with great silhouettes of the trees- nicely chosen exposure makes for a very atmospheric shot. Cheers, Gary
