A macro photo which possibly could have been improved with more of the top of the stamens. Was it taken with a macro lens? It doesn't seem quite as sharp as it could be (that may be my eyes or my monitor)but I wonder whether you used a tripod? Very good first upload. John

Doubt it is your eyes, it was with a cheap vivitar lens and a Raynox 250. (Incredibly narrow depth of field)
I have done a few more sort of accurate depictions if you know what I mean, but i wondered if this would look like you say, I missed a bit.
I was more trying to fill the frame with colour than take a picture of a marigold.
Do you think lack of sharpness is equipment or technique?
I(I am afraid I can't recall whether this one was with or without a tripod)

K100D, No PP, no cropping (Mainly because I haven't learnt how yet), mostly all manual.

No need to worry, if this was mine i would have tilted the lens up a little to get all the stamens in or pulled back a bit, the picture is sharp where it is needed (on the stamens) i think it's a great first upload.
